De kristnas sak
You guys.
I have way too much to say
First off-- I am in love with this city. I am seriously so so so so excited to be here in Uppsala. There are people everywhere!! It's absolutely beautiful. There are flowers everywhere and it is beyond green and there is the biggest church in scandinavia or something you can see from most of the town. The ward is awesome.
More than anything-- the work is incredible. There is so much to do here. We have seen some real miracles in the last few days. Met some really cool people who are searching for more. I am really beyond excited.
I adore Syster Hope my new comp and bestie who I served with back in the days of the gothenburg gang!!!
My last days in Umeå were sweet. Saying goodbye to everyone was rough. My last lesson was with Gunvor and Valter-- probably the hardest member and the hardest friend to say bye to. Why not just knock out both at once?
This has been one of the most influential parts of my mission. The people and relationships I will be eternally grateful for.
I've been reflecting a lot these last couple weeks-- and feel like there's a lot I want to convey that's hard to articulate. I feel like I've really changed so much as a person throughout my mission, and what I'm feeling now is that this is my chance to really try and implement all of that. Feeling like I want to make the absolute most of this time. Missions are so short-- I am really trying to not let it slip away. Trying to behålla everything I've learned, and continue adding to it. Trying to make the most of this time.
- last few days in umeå had a miracle of HUGO, referral from a friend back home! Man has literally taken seminary-- we lost contact a few monthd ago but ran into him again right before i left and had the coolest talk!!
- went to a sri lankan Buddhist fest with a friend and ate the spiciest food I've had in my entire life (Brig are you proud of me??)
- have been reunited with my GREG action figure that i made for a white elephant that sister hope ended up with. this was a tender mercy
- We are teaching an incredible young Swedish guy who reminds me so much of Pontus. Tender mercy for real. He is so cool.
I love this scripture :
"And thus he was preparing to support their liberty, their lands, their wives, and their children, and their peace, and that they might live unto the Lord their God, and that they might maintain that which was called by their enemies the cause of Christians."
Alma 48:10
I truly truly love being a missionary. I love it. I love talking to people and hearing their stories and telling them about how the gospel can change it for the better. Trying to live for the Lord our God and maintain the cause of Christians! I am so grateful for all of this.
