Sanningen

Things are good good. Lots of work. Lots of miracles. Lots of joy! Lots of hard. ALL OF IT IS GOOD.

I love Umeå. I love the people and the snow and I am learning so much. I love our branch. I've taken it upon myself to speak norrländska while I'm here hehe

Most of all I love this gospel! I love being able to talk about it and learn about it and deepen my own testimony so much in the process.

- Transfer news!! My amazing amazing companion Syster Larson is going from being the northernmost sister in the mission to the very southernmost--- I'm going to miss her. I have learned a lot from this absolute rock of a missionary. Malmö is getting the very best!!

- Our sweet sweet friend Zuba has decided to be baptized!!!!!!!! We are so happy for her!!! Please pray for her during these coming weeks!

- Our friend Anna came to our lesson this week with a notebook full of neatly written and highlighted questions. Beautiful questions-- about doctrine and the Book of Mormon and sådana saker, but also sweet wide-eyed questions about what our favorite aspects of the gospel were. What we look forward to most in the afterlife. She wants so deeply to understand it.
Anna is a testament to me that the gospel answers the questions of the soul. We and the member who came were in tears, the spirit was so strong. I am grateful for Anna and grateful to have the truths of the gospel.

- We have a friend who calls me fröken after I drew the plan of salvation on a white board one time in a lesson

- Our sweet old man neighbor knocks on our door multiple times a week with random gifts including but not limited to grapes and gummy binkie candies and a stuffed penguin

- We saw some reindeer in stan right next to a stand selling reindeer meat...

I am loving loving loving studying D&C with come follow me-- if you haven't been following along, I would challenge you to do so! The restoration is so beautifully applicable for us and I am loving learning so much.

This verse hit home this week-- DONT SKIP THIS PART!

D&C 11:13 Verily, verily, I say unto you, I will impart unto you of my Spirit, which shall enlighten your mind, which shall fill your soul with joy.

Is it possible for the spirit to really enlighten my mind and fill my soul with joy?

I can testify that it was for me this week. If you don't feel the influence of the spirit in your day to day, please do what you can to seek it! There is real and lasting joy to be had!

I love you all. Grateful for you.
- Syster Barn
