Syster Boone your stickies made me jump up and down you are the sweetest soul. I love you with my whole heart and know you are killing it in Gubby land. I love you so very big!

Syster Keyser your note made me a little teary tjej. I miss you already and am so eternally grateful for you. Kungsbacka is in the best hands #freshandfullofforces💥

Its been two wow weeks!

My last night in sweet Kungsbacka was spent in our little warm chapel. with our bomb of a friend Leif and our sweetest member Erik. The spirit was strong and Leif is praying about baptism. Please pray for him!

On friday we hopped on a plane up to norrland!

I LOVE UMEÅÅÅÅ

I love this area. Syster Larson and Syster Boone have done an incredible job. The branch is adorable, no one plays the piano so I get to accompany for church every week. Our friends are awesome. It is gorgeous gorgeous. I am a happy tjej. Sorry not sorry that half the pictures are just of the snow- I love it so much. Syster Larson is a ROCK. Hard worker and deep thinker and we been laughing lots and things are good good.

We are busy! Tons of lessons. Everything you hear about Norrland being dead is NOT TRUE we are busy tjejer and have been so so blessed. There have been so many miracles. So many people and so many stories that I love to hear.

last week no one could figure out how to flip our electronic (typ)baby grand keyboard thing, so I played piano and it was great! This week though they unfortunately unlocked organ mode and I am realizing quickly that I really do not play the organ. BUT i am super excited to learn!

Other goods

- the sweetest tender mercy- we teach ome of our friends up here with help of none other than FARHAD the king who got baptized when I was in Lund!

- saw some polar rainbow clouds (it's a thing look it up) (i don't know what they're actually called)

- some members fed us moose meat

- drove a car for the first time in over a year..on ice eek

- Birgith in Charleston got baptized!!!!

- flying again today for splits down in Stockholm. Life's been good to me.


I LOVE YOU ALL! I love being a missionary. I love learning so much. My knowledge and testimony of the gospel are so different than they were before. I love getting to read so much in the scriptures- I have fallen in love with those words.

I'm grateful to have people to miss. Grateful to have something to sacrifice for all this.

Farhad, Kungsbacka, Elder Child??

After hearing about a conversation between my dear Grandma Jan and now elder Child that consisted of her saying "Derek, you need to be better than your sister at writing emails," I've vowed to be ännu bättre. My grandparents love deeper than anyone, I'm convinced. It was quite possibly the most eventful week of my entire mission. Zone conference, Farhad's baptism and the wondrous few days and lessons leading up to it, the long awaited temple trip and tender mercy of my little brother receiving his endowment on the same day, and transfer news. Oh my things are good good. ANNIE IS HOME. My best friend in the world. She did it! I just smiled and cried watchin the videos of her huggin Jana. Dreamed of our missions since we were little and now her adventure is done. Where to start. It's been two weeks. - Pontus came to zone conference and loved it! Took notes the whole time. There was a lot of talk about purpose-- he said afterward that he feels like his purpose is "kind of like you guys- a missionary, basically." It was special. He is getting baptized THIS SUNDAY! After so long working for it. Please please please please pray for him this week- he is more converted than anyone I know, but satan is working hard because of it. - Mikael in Lund got baptized!!!! Our kind-eyed deaf friend. I heard that the second counselor who baptized him learned the whole baptismal prayer in swedish sign language. Mikael's story is evidence to me that the Spirit works! Hallå! It has been a wonderful wonderful week. Many beautiful moments. A quick update and thought! I am still waiting on a visa, so will be serving in the Tennessee Nashville mission starting next week! Truly could not be more excited, and I mean that. The tender mercies of the Lord have been abundant in getting me here, and with an abundance of peace. God is very good. My sweet companions made me stand up and read my call and made a video- the whole shebang. Oh I love them. TENDER MERCIES. They are everywhere. My challenge to you, which I was prompted to do and has blessed my days- is to write down the ones you see every day. Simply write down the beautiful moments! Read this week about how they are not coincidences, and I believe it. "I testify that the tender mercies of the Lord are real and that they do not occur randomly or merely by coincidence."
