To preach and to pray, to supplicate and to sing
It was a wonderful week!!!!! Some solid lessons, good finding, lots of sweet sweet time with members. I love being a missionary and I love CHRISTMAS!
- The dark isn't all that bad when Kungsbacka has Christmas lights literally everywhere ✨️
- one of the tenderest moments this week was making lussekatter, swedish saffron buns that are only around at Christmastime with the cutest family in our ward
- the advent calendar from our ward continues 😭 we are going to see Lucia this week with some of the members. I love love love them
- Got lovingly made fun of by my dear companion when I cried at our stake Christmas concert hehe. Heard a beautiful viola solo of "in the bleak midwinter" and it felt like home. Oh I love good music. I'm grateful that it's such a universal language.
- Said a big goodbye this week. This baby tribute to months of goodness is so inadequate. Syster Wahlquist. My mission mama. Picked me up from the airport-- I didn't know then that she would be my trainer... and then that we would serve around each other for the coming months until now, and that she would become not just a companion but a dear dear friend. Deeply humble and the hardest worker and just so very good. Will never forget the months of baguettes and and force-fed korv and latino parties and avoiding the sunshine annnnd protein bars 😁💀 a wonderful missionary and wonderful friend. I love you kompis!!! See you in quick 6🫶
Moroni 6:9 talks about how "the power of the Holy Ghost led them whether to preach, or to exhort, or to pray, or to supplicate, or to sing" and I loved that. Specifically talking about our church meetings.
What can you do this week to make church more meaningful?
Love you all.
