The garden of Sweden

Things are skippin along here in Kungsbacka! I love this little city.

Pontus is always a highlight-- chugging steadily through the Book of Mormon. Sweet this week was how moved he was by the allegory of the olive tree in Jacob 5. Bishop waved me over on sunday and was just so tickled to tell us how they had discussed it throughout the entire skjuts to stake conference. He is awesome. Please pray for Pontus! He is incredible and making such progress, but has to make some hard changes and choices before baptism.

Stake conference was absolutely incredible. Over and over again I am amazed by these members of the church - how strong their faith is and how much they put truth to the phrase 'ward family'. They feel like it here and I am so grateful for it.

One happy silly tender mercy this week, during a rather unfruitful rainy knocking stund, was knocking on the door of a 95 year old woman, the sweetest little swedish grandma-- who could not hear a thing we said. We yelled and yelled right in her ear, mostly to no avail. She tried in vain to read Syster Nelson's name tag (she couldn't see much either) while Syster Nelson simultaneously tried to tell her name-- the closest we got was "Johnson??" so we settled with that. We laughed so hard. And she is believing so we're going back!!

On that same day, we knocked on the door of a woman who burst into tears when we asked her how she was doing. She didn't explain a word of why, and didn't want us to come back- but gratefully accepted our offered hugs and hugged us hard.

It is cool to see the ways that God loves His children. Maybe someone won't be ready for the gospel, maybe they will be-- but maybe they just need a hug for now. God is in the details of your life!-- that I know.

Syster Nelson is an absolute rock star

Isaac is very almost taller than me 🥹

MONCKS CORNER, SOUTH CAROLINA just got a new dog of a missionary

So life is good.

I love being a missionary. I love getting to meet so many people and hear their stories. I love testifying about things I know to be true and love how much I am growing because of it. I love you all.

Love from the garden of Sweden,
Syster Child
