Life is so Very Good

Good heavens. Another meager attempt to include all of my feelings and happenings- this life and work is a dream and God is so good to us up here. - exchanges in Stockholm!!! With a happy scenic 7 hour train ride. My beloved Syster Wilcox whom I adore. My role model in so many ways. - While in Stockholm we got to attend the baptism of a dear friend of Syster Bowen's. His story is evidence that there are very prepared people. So very happy for CJ. - Farhad is getting baptized this week. Beautiful happy things getting him here- another very very prepared person. Pray for him this week! Derek gets set apart as a missionary this Sunday. Showed me the tags he would be wearing. My heart is so full- I am so excited to be working alongside my best friend little brother. I love you all! There is far too much to convey. Miracles in finding and teaching. I love Syster Bowen and Syster Boone with my entire soul. I get to go to the temple on Saturday, the same day as Derek will be going throu...

Oh Life is Good!

Oh life is good! Our little trio is tired and happy down here in Lund. So much is happening, which we are beyond grateful for! Our friend Farhad has accepted the invitation to be baptized! This week was a special one with him. He is 19, has been the most consistent of anyone with both church and our fotboll game attendance hehe. Loves the Book of Mormon deeply for having had so little time with it. The ward was able to get interpretation for Mikael for church every week! I am deeply touched by what it means to be a member here. They show me what it looks like to magnify a calling. Derek's farewell talk- reminded me so much that missionary work does come down to the simple things. That we have a God who loves us, and He has given us ways to be happy in this life and the next! It was beautiful and powerful to hear it from my little brother's mouth, as he is about to go out and share it just like I am trying to. I am feeling so blessed. Derek farewell talk, temple and mission so...

Feel like Cryin'

Image
Sometimes I just feel like cryin! Life is so good. I love Lund. It's smaller and a lot quieter than Stockholm. Absolutely beautiful. People aren't rushing quite as much. We quite honestly just skip around cobblestone streets with white boards asking what they think about God. The ward is incredible. The work is busy. We're tired and happy! A couple highlights of my heart- Mikael .  Oh how I love this man. Mikael is deaf. He is the definition of gentleness. The most sincere sweetness and desire to learn. Our lessons consist of a happy mess of writing in notebooks, reading scriptures, using the few signs of teckensprÃ¥k he has taught us, and him smiling when Syster Boone and I try to use our ASL which is absolutely not the same as Swedish. Conveys so much with his eyes. Writes simply that he loves how the God book makes him feel. Elizabeth -  and the most precious Congo family- Elizabeth is a mom of three beautiful girls. She loves our church and asks if she can be a membe...
