Marissa's Mission Musings

 

  God is good. Life is good. I love being a missionary. Syster Giles and I are out here kickin! We're laughing about 40 percent of the time. We are busy busy and very happy. Don't have a lot of time- but I know God is in this work. I know He is there for you and for me. I've seen it in a more personal way than ever these last six months. Deeply moving experiences, watching our friends and myself coming to know Jesus Christ. Lots of tears. Lots of joy. Jumping up and down when our friends come to church. A memorable moment of the many-- Manuela, our 16 year old friend with the biggest eyes and heart and questions, came to church dressed up in her Africa earrings and necklace. Shyly brought her cousin along. Her smile walking in to church was probably the most beautiful thing I've ever seen. There is a joy in this work unlike anything else, that I know! Wild to think that a third of this adventure of mine has already passed. I love being a missionary! I love each one of y...
